It's very easy to accidentally lock your keys inside your vehicle or home. It happens all the time! You can be distracted, on the phone, or with kids, and leave the keys in the ignition or seat of the vehicle or on the counter or possibly the refrigerator of your home.
One tip for this is always to check your pockets before locking the door and keeping a spare key hidden outside of your home and hidden on the outside of your vehicle. Another tip is to give a spare to a family member or someone you trust.
